— WHO WE ARE —
The Midwest Alliance is a non-profit organization based in Columbus, Ohio that is committed to increasing educational and economical opportunities for residents of the Midwest. The Midwest Alliance was founded by DaVonti' Haynes and inspired by his involvement with The Rotsky Foundation for Mentors.
Our goal and mission is to prepare the people of the Midwest to be highly educated, civically- informed, and engaged citizens for success in a regional and global economy.
We seek to identify, educate, inspire, and engage all Midwestern residents!
At the Midwest Alliance, we are not afraid to challenge the status quo, take risks, test bold ideas or rethink traditional approaches to our regional problems. We seek to ask new questions and celebrate the synergy and solutions that result when people all across our region, from seemingly unrelated areas and backgrounds, join together for one common cause: A BRIGHTER MIDWESTERN FUTURE!
The Midwest Alliance, believes improving college and workforce development success is essential to the midwestern region and United States' future, and that college [or vocational and trade programs] should be an option for every student in our region. We are working to remove systemic and institutional barriers students face by connecting students and families to academic resources and institutions of higher education; connecting local PreK-12 districts to institutions of higher education - to strengthen the P20 pipeline; and enabling students and parents to access the knowledge, financial aid, and other resources they need to complete their degrees on time and choose the right path and institution for them.
