DaVonti' D. Haynes, MSW
DaVonti' is the Founder and Executive Director of the Midwest Alliance.
A Midwestern native, DaVonti' was born in Detroit, Michigan and relocated to Cleveland, Ohio at the tender age of nine, where he graduated from Whitney M. Young Gifted & Talented Leadership Academy (Cleveland Metropolitan School District). His research interests include collegiate access for urban and rural populations, successful transition mechanisms, retention, and programming for students from high school to college. DaVonti' is committed to the success of students from urban and rural communities and has dedicated his time to enhancing the student experience.
DaVonti' received his bachelor’s degree in public affairs with a specialization in education policy and Master of Social Work with a specialization in children and youth services from The Ohio State University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education (EdD) in educational administration at The Ohio State University.
Raven E. Lynch, MSW
Raven is the Chief Strategic Communications Officer.
Raven comes from a small, rural community in Ross County; a county in the Appalachian region of Ohio. She graduated from Paint Valley High School in Bainbridge and moved to Columbus in 2010 to attend The Ohio State University and has been a resident ever since. Raven has been a team member of an interdisciplinary qualitative research project called The Appalachian Project since 2011 exploring Appalachian students' transitions to Ohio State, and continues her research endeavors with research on topics such as identity development, low-income students' transitions to higher education, and girls' empowerment and leadership programming.
Raven received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in forensic science and Master of Social Work with a specialization in mental health and addiction from The Ohio State University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in social work at The Ohio State University.
